Akoya Pearl
This collection exclusively features Akoya cultured pearls, a prized variety of saltwater pearl cultivated from the Akoya oyster (Pinctada fucata martensii). The name 「あこや (akoya)」 is derived from its Japanese origin.
Primarily farmed in Japan’s Seto Inland Sea, Akoya pearls are renowned for their exceptional luster and fine, delicate glow. Their natural rose overtones have long captivated the hearts of elegant women.
Each Akoya oyster produces only one pearl, with a cultivation period of approximately 3 to 4 years. Among all pearls, Akoya pearls are celebrated for their unparalleled luster, often affectionately referred to as “little light bulbs.”
